Jo-Ann is a seasoned Human Resources executive, bringing over 30 years of progressive experience in all aspects of Human Resources strategy development and operations to her role as Chief Human Resources Officer at Minto Group and Minto Apartment REIT. In her role, Jo-Ann is responsible for leading the overall talent strategy for both organizations including talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership and employee development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and cultural development, compensation and benefits, employee relations and HR systems technology. She also leads the corporate health and safety and internal communications functions and works closely with the Compensation, Governance and Nomination Committees for both the Minto Apartment REIT Board of Trustees and Minto Group Board of Directors. Jo-Ann provides services to the REIT through the administrative support agreement between the REIT and Minto Properties Inc.
Prior to joining Minto Group in 2014, Jo-Ann led the HR functions at WiLan and March Networks and also held several senior management positions with Nortel.
Jo-Ann holds a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies degree with a major in Human Resources & Social Organizations from the University of Western Ontario.
